Her New Era
Education, community, and tools for independent hairstylists, from Joanna, a stylist and salon owner. A pricing system built on your real numbers, a monthly room of women who run their own businesses, and an assistant that answers your clients, so you build a business that pays you properly and still gives you your life back.
Where to start
You do not need all of this. You need the one thing that fixes what is in front of you right now.
Everything under Her New Era
01Education
Most pricing advice is someone else's opinion. Joanna teaches a system you own, built on your rent, your hours, and the life you actually want.
Pricing built for a real life.
Personal expenses, business expenses, taxes, time off, and profit, built into one sustainable price. Not salon math. Five chapters you work through on your own, with a note from Joanna at the start of each, and a full pricing plan with a price for every service at the end.
02Community
Our industry is not just craving education. It is craving community. A place to ask questions, work through the hard parts, and grow alongside women who understand the job.
One morning a month, on your business.
A monthly gathering for independent beauty entrepreneurs at Monarca, Joanna's salon. Two hours to step away from clients, work through one focused topic, and help each other work out what is actually stuck.
03Tools
We built these because we needed them. They handle the parts of the business that quietly eat your evenings.
Answers your clients so you do not have to.
An assistant that knows your prices, your policies, and your hours, and answers the same questions you have answered a thousand times, in English and Spanish, while you are behind the chair. It comes with a website built to book clients, on your choice of five designs.
Sends the right client to the right stylist.
For salons that rent to independent beauty pros. A short quiz on the salon's site asks a new client what she actually wants, then hands her to the stylist who does that work. Running at Monarca now.
Joanna, hairstylist and salon owner
For years I did what the industry told me was right. Stay booked. Stay busy. Say yes to everyone. By every visible measure it was working, and I was exhausted.
So I rebuilt my pricing from the ground up and restructured my schedule around my energy instead of my availability. My income went up. My hours went down. My work started to feel like mine again.
Her New Era exists because I needed it first.
Joanna
What we believe
A full calendar can hide financial chaos and exhaustion. Profitability is the measure, not volume.
Pricing below your value is a structural problem, not a character trait. Structural problems can be fixed.
You are the business. Trying to separate your life from your work is the source of the problem, not the solution.
Now that you work for yourself, you can build something that fits your energy, your cycle, and your life.
What stylists say
Joanna has been a blessing to my career. She not only invited me to join the team but has also guided me along the way. She’s always available to answer any questions I might have about my business. If it weren’t for her creating such a safe place, I don’t know where I would be.

We all started somewhere and Joanna has always been there to help us grow in anyway that we dream of growing. From teaching and hosting classes to helping us understand the business aspect of running our own business behind the chair.

I started assisting Joanna right after the salons opened up after Covid and she was and still is an amazing mentor in my career and has always believed in me since day 1. Not only have I grown so much as a stylist but as an individual as well.
