Pricing built
for real life

A five-week, one to one mentorship for independent stylists who are done guessing and ready to build a pricing system that actually works.

Length
Five weeks, one session a week
Built on
Your numbers, not a formula

You are not bad at business.
You are working without a system.

The problem

Most independent stylists set their prices the same way: look at what other stylists are charging, pick something in that range, and hope it works out.

It does not account for your actual expenses. It does not account for slow seasons, taxes, or time off. It does not account for the fact that your income is also your salary and your business margin and your retirement at the same time.

So you stay busy. You raise prices a little when the anxiety gets too loud. And the math still never quite adds up.

That is not a discipline problem. That is a structure problem.

01

You are fully booked but still feel financially unclear.

02

You have raised your prices before, but you set them by feel, not by numbers.

03

You know something is off. You just do not have a framework to fix it.

Why it exists

The industry never built this. So Joanna did.

Independent stylists run real businesses. They cover their own taxes, their own benefits, their own slow months, their own product costs. There is no employer doing the math for them.

But the education that exists in this industry was never designed around that reality. What gets taught is technique. What gets avoided is the numbers.

It is not about charging more. It is about knowing what to charge and why, so that the number you put on your services is one you can defend and one that actually supports your business.

The five weeks.

Curriculum

Each week is a one to one session with Joanna. The work is personalized to your numbers, your schedule, and your business.

01

Know your numbers

Personal expenses, business expenses, taxes, paid time off. Most stylists have never added all of this up in one place. You leave with a clear baseline: the minimum your business needs to generate for your life to work.

02

Time and capacity audit

How many hours you actually have, not just the hours on your calendar. Commute, setup, client communication, cleaning. You leave with your true hourly capacity.

03

Product costs and profit margins

Product waste, application time, chemical costs. You leave with a service-by-service breakdown, so you know exactly what each appointment costs you to deliver.

04

The HER Pricing formula

Your expenses, your time, your costs, and your target income combined into a pricing structure built for your business. You leave with real numbers, grounded in your real life.

05

Implementation and communication

How to present new pricing to existing clients, how to handle the transition, and how to hold the line. You leave with a communication plan and the confidence to follow through.

About Joanna

I have been a hairstylist for 25 years. I spent a large part of that time fully booked, constantly working, and financially unclear.

When I finally sat down and looked at what I was actually making after expenses, product costs, and taxes, I understood what the problem was. It was not that I was not working hard enough. It was that I had never built a real system.

I built HPS because I needed it and because every stylist I talked to needed it too. The industry is full of people who are skilled, booked, and still underpaid. That gap is structural. HPS is what closes it.

I teach this one to one because the numbers are different for every stylist. Your city, your expenses, your schedule, your goals. A group course cannot build your pricing system. A one to one mentorship can.

Who it is built for

If this is you, it will work.

  • You have been independent for at least a year. You have clients. You have income. And you still are not sure if your pricing is right.
  • You have set your prices based on what others charge, not based on your actual numbers.
  • You want a real system, not another course with general advice.
  • You are willing to look at your numbers honestly, even if what you find is uncomfortable.
  • You are building for the long term. You are not looking for a quick fix.

Who it is not for

Better to be clear now.

  • You are a new stylist building your client base. HPS is most useful once you have an established income to work from.
  • You are looking for motivation or mindset coaching. This is a numbers-based system. The work is practical and specific.
  • You want a group program or self-paced course. HPS is one to one and personalized. A self-study format does not exist yet.
  • You are not ready to look at your expenses honestly. The system only works if the inputs are accurate.
